-GCA's Early Childhood program povides a faith-based character formation, as well as a beginning awareness of Christian values for a lifetime of success. We believe that our young children learn best through lots of "play" and interactive learning opportunities! We offer full-day classes with optional before and after care available.

-GCA offers parental choice to all of the residents of Garfield. We invite you to visit our school and give your child the "gift" of a Catholic education! For more information, call (973) 772-0416.

THOUGHTS FROM THE GCA CHILDREN

I AM THANKFUL…

"I am thankful for the freedom I have to practice my faith because I am allowed to say prayers and make the sign of the cross. I am thankful to say the Act of Contrition and say Hail Marys. I believe in God. I am lucky that I can go to my own church. I feel very blessed and I am very thankful."

-Joseph Kopacz

"I am proud for the freedom I have to practice my faith because I love God and Jesus. My family and I love going to church on Sunday. I enjoy being Catholic and I like to pray for others. When I am bored on a rainy day I like to read my Bible. I don't know what I would do if I were not Catholic."'

-Kaitlin O'Connor

"I am thankful for the freedom we have to practice our faith. My mom and I enjoy going to church every Sunday. When I am bored I pray on my rosary beads. I am thankful that we can go to any church we want to."

-Anthony Nerio

"I'm thankful for the freedom I have to practice my faith. I believe in going to church everyday. I'm a Catholic and I'm not scared if someone is making fun of me. I'm not scared because I know that I'm doing the right thing. I know that God will always love me and forgive my sins. He loves me and I love God."

-Yuri Ocharan

"I am thankful for the freedom I have to practice my faith. I don't always realize it but I am very thankful that I can pray whenever I want and pray to God. As a Christian I can receive all the sacraments. I am very thankful for the people who help me practice my faith, like Msgr. Paul, Sr. Jo Ann and my parents."

-Louis Nicastro

"I am free because the pilgrims helped me to get this freedom. I could choose the religion I want to practice. It is my right. I am thankful for what the leaders before us have done. They helped us get our right to believe in God."

-Vangel Boceski

"I am thankful for the freedom we have to practice our faith. We can go to church and pray in public. This is important to me. Some other countries don't have this freedom. I feel glad to be free in our country.

"I am very thankful for the freedom I have to practice my faith. As I live in America I always think about how we have freedom and justice. We also should be thankful for Christopher Columbus, who is the founder of America. I am also very thankful for the pilgrims, who started the first Thanksgiving. In America, I can practice my faith in public. I'm glad to live and be free in the United States of America, God Bless America!

-Josephine D'Amico
