SPECIAL UPCOMING EVENTDear Friends: My dear cousins Mike and Marie Yaccarino are the owners of the original Biggie's Clam Bar founded 64 years ago in Hoboken in 1946 by Mike's (Brother as we call him in the family) dad Joe "Biggie." Mike and Marie took over the business and now share it with their daughter Rosemarie Ranuro and her husband Steven. The family expanded the business and opened up on the boardwalk in Asbury Park two summers ago. God bless them as the business continues to thrive which is mainly due to the personality of Mike (Brother) and the consistency of his and his family's work ethic and the quality of his food and above all HIS CLAMS... You are not going to get clams better than his anywhere cut open professionally and plump right before your eyes. At any rate - they further expanded and invited my brother Frankie Palmisano and my first cousin Michael Ferrante (my mother's brother's son) in as partners and opened yet a third location - God bless. Last evening, Vinny Leto joined me for the private opening down at what was the old Lobster Barn on Rte 17 South in Carlstadt - now Biggies Clam Bar. The place is big and beautiful and clean and the food is just as great! And guess what - it is BLESSED TOO !!! Plus they have a full bar! That helps.... Ooops - did I say that??? At any rate - please spread the word - and if you are on Rte 17 south and need a great place to eat - or if you want REALLY GOOD CLAMS OR GREAT FOOD.. take a swing by Biggie's on Rte 17 South... It is right before The Landmark. Tell them Fr. Peter sent you... And guess what else - Joanne Briglio tells me this morning her daughter Nicole is going to be a waitress there. Go Figure! Happy Easter to all! Loving you always,
